12th Annual Houston Billiard Open Slated for June 21-22
The Independent Billiard League of Houston, Inc. (IBL Houston) will host the 12th Annual Houston Billiard Open on June 21st and 22nd, at Slick Willie’s Family Pool Hall, located at 1200 Westheimer. This annual charitable event benefits Pet Patrol, an organization that offers pet tending services for area residents dealing with AIDS and HIV. Registration for the event will begin at 9 a.m. with the tournament activities starting at 10 a.m. Tournament Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Continuing last year’s successful inclusion, the general public will again be able to support IBL Houston’s efforts by purchasing supporter raffle tickets for $5 each - or three tickets for $10 - for chances to win one of many donated prizes. Organizers hold the annual tournament raise much-needed funds for local 501(c) 3 charitable organizations, where the funds will be given to provide compassionate care to people living with HIV/AIDS. During the past several years, the tournaments have raised several thousand dollars for area charities. Sponsorships for this year’s tournament are still available.
